Based on the video game series surrounding a paranormal detective who is investigating an ancient culture known as the Abkani who mysteriously vanished from the earth, because of the demons that they worshiped.

If we where to take Alone in the dark and put it heads up with Doom its obvious which of the two is the superior movie when it comes to a movie that has transitioned from video game to motion picture. Alone in the dark is visually spectacular with brilliant special effects. Slater and Dorf are brilliant in the way that they deliver their dialouge though Tara Reid seems to have been to soft spoken for her role.
