An amateur boxer from the wrong side of the tracks finally joins the U.S Naval Academy after being refused thirty-four times by his local Congressman. With the help of his roommate and some of his superiors he trains for the Naval boxing tournament.

Looking at this you don’t have to go to far to start drawing plot similarities with director Taylor Hackford’s An Officer and a Gentleman.

This really is not a movie that you go to see for the plot of the movie considering that has already been done will be redone many more times to come. What will really draw you into this movie are the performances of James Franco, Tyrese Gibson and Jordana Brewster who has an amazing presence in this movie.
