An epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.

2012 is one of the epics that Roland Emmerich is known for. However, 2012 makes absolutely no attempt to hide which is little more the special effects porn with slight Noah’s Ark overtones. Nevertheless, with 158 minute run time and the vast chasms that you have to cross to get to the next action sequence some people might find that 2012 is somewhat of a chore to watch. Personally I thought Woody Harelson gave a brilliant performance, he brought a special kind of crazy to his role which would have been surpassed by someone Gary Busey.
