After enduring years of malfunctioning products, Wile E. Coyote teams up with a local personal injury attorney to take on ACME, the manufacturer of anything and everything used by the Looney Tunes characters.

It lives, it lives, the movie a certain WB President shelved for tax reasons has been released. Now unrelated to ACME vs Coyote there are some videos circulating on the net suggesting that Coyote has been silent for 77 years because the coyote’s father told him to be silent until he caught the roadrunner.in regards to those videos I call bullshit of the highest order, the first Wile E. Coyote short was titled Fast and Furry-ous, which was released on September 17, 1949 and considering that on May 21 1980 when Soup or Sonic was released it was the only canonical cartoon in which Wile E. Coyote catches the Road Runner without him escaping afterward, so if the coyote was supposed to be silent until he caught the Roadrunner the accurate number would be 31 years. For those of you who are interested the inspiration for the script came from a 1990 New Yorker article titled Coyote V. Acme by Ian Frazier.



Acme Vs Coyote is very much a “Rent-A-Kid’ movie. Will taking your young nephew or niece to see this turn you into a cool uncle or aunt? I don’t know. ACME vs Coyote might not be a “laugh-riot” movie; but it’s still worth watching, especially considering it took so long to be released. Perhaps more than The Day the Earth Blew Up. I feel that movies that combine animation with Live Action in most cases have an overall positive vibe. Though the movie does have something interesting to say about racism, which is highlighted by how cartoon character personal injury lawsuits are treated. As far as “cartoon technology” goes I’ve always liked the idea of a portable hole and the ability to paint a tunnel on a wall. I loved the train tunnel scene. I enjoyed Will Forte’s performance as Kevin Avery and it was good to see John Cena play a villainous (though slightly cartoonish) role. I was a little surprised to see Luis Guzmán playing a judge. I was also interested to see how many animated roles Eric Bauza voiced.
