More than a dozen of Newtown, Enmore and Camperdown’s favourite venues are putting their own spin on the sweet-meets-spicy serve this winter, thanks to Cazcabel Tequila Forget mulled wine, Sydney’s cosiest winter drink of 2026 is a hot honey margarita. Kicking off on World Tequila Day (July 24), Cazcabel Tequila is turning up the heat and partnering with Australian multi-award-winning chilli condiment maker The Fermentalists and a lineup of Sydney Inner West venues to launch a limited-time Hot Honey Cocktail trail. The collaboration brings together Cazcabel Honey Tequila, The Fermentalists’ locally made Hot Honey, and some of the Inner West’s best-loved bars and eateries, each creating their own take on the fiery winter serve.
At the heart of the collaboration is The Fermentalists’ Hot Honey, made with the rich heat of habaneros and the nutty depth of native wattle seed. Paired with the smooth sweetness of Cazcabel Honey Tequila and bright citrus, the result is a bold, warming cocktail that feels made for Sydney’s winter. The activation comes as hot honey continues its move from pizza crusts and fried chicken to the cocktail glass, with menu mentions increasing by 56% across Australian venues over the past 12 months. Now, Cazcabel and The Fermentalists are bringing the trend to life locally, giving cocktail lovers a reason to explore the Inner West one spicy serve at a time. Rather than pouring the same cocktail across every bar, each participating venue will serve its own Hot Honey Cocktail interpretation, showcasing its individual style while heroing the campaign’s signature flavour combination of tequila, citrus, heat and honey.
Participating venues include:
- Astro’s, Newtown
- Deus, Camperdown
- Famelia, Newtown
- Kelly’s, Newtown
- Lu’s Deli, Newtown
- Maiz, Newtown
- Marrickville Golf Club, Marrickville
- Palomino, Enmore
- Ravenspur, Newtown
- Run Dos Run, Newtown
- Stone Wall, Newtown
- The Duke of Enmore, Enmore

- Websters Bar, Newtown
“World Tequila Day is the perfect excuse to celebrate tequila in a way that feels fresh, fun and very Sydney. By partnering with The Fermentalists and some of the Inner West’s most exciting venues, we’re showing how well Cazcabel Honey Tequila works with spice, citrus and local flavour.” Jordan Young, Cazcabel’s Brand Ambassador, commented. The collaboration will be available for a limited time throughout winter, giving cocktail lovers the chance to try the unique serves before they disappear from Sydney menus.
