After a humiliating command performance at Lincoln Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform.

Okay, I’m still trying to figure out why I went to see this one at the friendly neighborhood cinema considering that I wasn’t entirely impressed with the original movie. The best reason I have is that I wasn’t willing to wait the 50 minutes until the next session of Mad Max: Fury Road. Oh, and for the record no I didn’t bother refreshing my mind with the original movie.
First thing is first congratulations to Elizabeth Banks who made her directorial debut after acting as a producer in the original movie. The only thing that I can really say that I enjoyed about the movie was the soundtrack. Most of the Movie’s jokes seemed to die a dismal death getting a reaction from less than a third of everybody in the theatre. The only performance that is anywhere close to being memorable was Keegan-Michael Key’s, while it seemed to me that just about everyone else that was returning to the movie was only doing so out of contractual obligation.
