In World War II, Stalin created a top secret nerve gas, which went missing shortly after the Battle of Stalingrad. Over seventy years later, the horrific biochemical weapon resurfaces in modern day Bulgaria, turning the local inhabitants into frenzied mutants and causing the dead to rise from the grave.

There was an interesting enough concept behind Code Red, a nerve gas that turns the dead and injured into zombie. Though the filmmakers seemed to drop the ball and it seemed to lose something in the execution and the movie completely lost steam by the time credits rolled. A review of code red that I read on IMDB suggests that instead of watching this movie you should watch the 2007 movie Outpost. Even though I have not watched Outpost, I think I would have to agree.
I was not familiar with any of the actors or anybody who was involved with the production of Code Red. There were no memorable performances and I wish that I did not spend the time to watch code red.
