El Gringo

El-Gringo

Director Eduardo Rodriguez
Starring Scott Adkins, Petar Bachvarov, Zahary Baharov and Christian Slater
Rated MA
Score 3/6

A man crossing into Mexico with a satchel of $2,000,000, and a bloody past, finds himself under sudden attack in the sleepy town of El Fronteras.

El Gringo is the type of movie that you would watch when you are having a beer night with the boys. There was an overall 1970’s feel and Director Eduardo Rodriguez gave us a kind of impressive running shootout in the middle of the movie. The only complaints that I have was, that writer Jonathan W. Stokes gave us a plot that every so often went away from the action and considering that it would be easy to argue that Christian Slater’s character was surplus to requirement.
