Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school’s all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.

All right, I am not entirely sure what attracted me to go and see this one at the local cinema, and for the record about five minutes into the movie I fought the urge to leave. I did not find myself impressed with any of the performances and this left me wondering if leaving the movie actually was the right decision. I find myself wondering does Rebel Wilson have any depth as an actress? Granted at times I do find her to be rather funny, I just feel that all of the movie roles she has been given are practically identical.
Now despite the less than impressive performance and somewhat predictable plot what saved the movie from being completely painful to watch was the soundtrack.
