In 2072, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to ‘close the loop’ by transporting back Joe’s future self.

Time Travel always seems to make science fiction movies just that little bit more interesting. It probably has something to do with all ‘what if?’ questions that could be answered.
Personally, I’m unfamiliar with Rian Johnson’s work, though fans of the ’95 movie twelve monkeys might appreciate Looper. Johnson has a since of style that easily be adapted to science fiction movies. Though, I am not sure if all of the vehicle conceptual artwork featured in Looper would have any real world applications. Both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis gave good performances however I was really impressed by Pierce Gagnon.
Gagnon as young as he is gave a brilliant performance, I hope that he sticks with acting for as long as possible.
