The MacManus brothers are living a quiet life in Ireland with their father, but when they learn a beloved priest has been killed by the Mafia, the duo return to Boston to bring justice to those responsible.

It was worth the wait. It might have taken ten years but the Saints are finally back. Now there are people out there who could be considered as my contemporaries or even as my peers have dismissed this movie as being pathetic or the lesser of the two Saints. No, this is not the lesser of the two Saints and it has not fallen foul of the curse of the sequel. Of course, this is not going be exactly like the first movie many things in ten years, people change, and their sense of style change. Of course, there are going to be differences between the two films.

I believe that director Troy Duffy has actually ramped up the action in this movie, because it needed to be. I am willing to concede that maybe the acting of Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus was not worthy of an Oscar nomination but then again you don’t watch movies like Boondock Saints Day : All Saints Day for those kinds of performances. You watch these kinds of movies to hang out with your friends, drink beer and be entertained. And that is exactly what was delivered.
