UNSC Cadet Thomas Lasky must conquer his inner fears and join forces with super-soldier John-117 to take down a massive faction of the Covenant.
For the record I have not played any of the games of the Halo franchise, but for anybody else who has not played any of the games before watching this, there is no need to have played them. This was probably one of the better web series/movie that has been inspired by a computer. But I suppose that is only to be expected considering that Microsoft was one of the production companies behind this, using this as sort of marketing tool for the Halo franchise and a possible stepping stone to a dedicated Halo movie.
This is really is not the kind of thing that watch expecting award winning acting performances, though I do hope to remember the faces of some of the young cast in their future projects. The overall look of the movie was more important than any particular actor’s performance, the forests that they shot in where beautiful. I kind of got the impression a lot of the costumes seemed to have been inspired by the starship troopers franchise.
