Stonecutter Media Ltd. announced today that veteran wrestling promoter Steve Karel has come out of retirement to produce a cinematic main event honoring hardcore wrestling icon Jon Moxley. I FOUGHT JON MOXLEY, the new documentary from Stonecutter Media Ltd., is set to premiere October 13, 2026, in select theaters and on major cable and digital platforms. Karel, whose decades long career spans promoting and producing televised live wrestling events, is also stepping back into the promoter’s circle through Stonecutter Event Promotions, bringing the same Moxley style intensity that defined the extreme indie circuit back to the ring under the CZW and UWF banners. The live televised event will reunite a lineup of independent wrestling standouts, delivering the raw, unscripted energy longtime fans have been missing and the edgiest, most over the top arena experience in years.
II FOUGHT JON MOXLEY pulls audiences into the hardcore, ultraviolent world where Moxley built his reputation before joining WWE and now AEW. The 80 minute documentary, directed by Brendan Amoruso and written by Maven T. Bentley, delivers a riveting look at Moxley’s most violent, career defining matches, with appearances from fellow independent circuit standouts DJ Hyde, Nick Gage, Rich Swann, Mickie Knuckles, Big F’n Joe, Larry Legend, Eran Ashe and Gary Walter.
“There was only one way to properly send this film into the world, and salute Jon back where it all started, in the ring,” Steve Karel commented. “This is a celebration of where he came from and what he built before the world knew his name.”
Produced by Maven T. Bentley, David Markland, Kee Min and George Zouvelos, with David Markland, CZW owner, and Steve Karel serving as executive producers, I FOUGHT JON MOXLEY will be available worldwide beginning October 13, 2026
