Planet Fitness Announces annual October fundraising campaign supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing fitness center operators with more members than any other fitness brand, today launched its annual October fundraising campaign in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Coinciding with National Bullying Prevention Month, the initiative supports the Judgement Free Generation®, Planet Fitness’ philanthropic effort focused on promoting kindness, belonging, and well-being. Building on more than $12 million raised since 2016, Planet Fitness is inviting members to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America through donations made in-club and online at PFGives.com. In addition, the 2026 Judgement Free Generation® Scholarship recipients will be featured throughout the campaign’s fundraising materials, spotlighting high school seniors recognized for their commitment to kindness, inclusion, and creating more welcoming communities.

“Creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone feels like they belong is at the core of who we are at Planet Fitness,” McCall Gosselin, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Planet Fitness commented.”We’re proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and succeed. This campaign is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared commitment to supporting the next generation.”

Since launching the Judgement Free Generation® in 2016, Planet Fitness, its franchisees, and members have raised more than $12 million to support youth development, kindness, and belonging initiatives. Through these efforts, more than 50 mini Judgement Free Zones® have been established at Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide, hundreds of young people have participated in Judgement Free Fit Days™, more than 1,100 Club staff members have received specialized anti-bullying training, and nearly $2 million in academic scholarships has been awarded to help young leaders pursue their goals.

“For more than a decade, Planet Fitness has helped Club kids and teens build confidence, strengthen their well-being, and feel a sense of belonging,” Jim Clark, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America commented. “We know that when young people feel accepted and supported, they are more likely to thrive. Planet Fitness is helping reinforce the values of kindness and respect through initiatives like mini Judgement Free Zones®, scholarships, and anti-bullying programs. In fact, 92% of Club kids say being a good leader means treating others fairly. We’re grateful for our partnership and their continued commitment to helping young people succeed.”

Through October, members and guests will have multiple opportunities to support the campaign. They can participate by donating at local club front desks, through in-club Vicki kiosks, or online at PFGives.com. One hundred percent of all funds raised directly benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America, supporting youth programming and pro-kindness initiatives.
