Follows Pete, a professional hitman, as he faces a group of assassins after the boss of a crime syndicate suspects disloyalty due to his attendance at Workaholics Anonymous meetings.
As Michael Jai White movies go I usually don’t go out of my to watch them, but the spur of the moment decision trying to find a movie to stream while eating dinner led me to a hilarious movie. Director Michael Hamilton-Wright delivered a visually unique movie that apparently was shot on a sound stage. As action movies go, Hostile Takeover is most things you’d expect from a Michael Jai White movie. Now, most action movies have what could be described as a masculine quality but what really tipped things over the edge (in a good way) was therapeutic speak throughout the movie. I genuinely didn’t expect gangsters to be capable of such emotional growth.
