An old gunslinger and his daughter must face the consequences of his past, when the son of a man he murdered years ago arrives to take his revenge.

For those of you who might be interested, from what I have read about the behind the scenes of The Old Way the armorer on the shoot was Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was blamed for a number of unsafe activities by the assistant director and Cage and was nearly thrown off the set. She was the armorer on Rust (which was shot after The Old Way in 2021) and was investigated for the death of Halyna Hutchins and injury to Joel Souza on that set due to unsafe firearm handling.I’m not overly familiar with director Brett Donowho’s work. As movies go The Old Way might come off as being a little ‘basic’ but it should be noted that this is a western and a revenge movie so it’s kind of expected and besides The Old Way is still a watchable movie, I also enjoyed the finale. I’ve always been a fan of Westerns, I will admit that there are a lot of the more ‘classic’ westerns that I haven’t got around to watching. Eventually I will get around to watching. Anyway I suppose what I like is that even how tight the genre definition might seem it is still very open to interpretation. How many of you out there are aware of “It Was At This Moment That He Knew He Fucked Up” videos or memes? Kerry Knuppe gave a good performance as Ruth Briggs. Knuppe delivered a line of dialogue that best cinematicaly encapsulates the  “It Was At This Moment That He Knew He Fucked Up” that i have seen recently. I found that I really enjoyed Ryan Kiera Armstrong’s performance as Brooke (Cage’s character Colton Briggs’ daughter). It might be an odd thing to say but I loved the jelly bean sorting scene and towards the end of the movie I did find myself wrapped up in Brooke’s character arc.
