Coles Continues DROPPED&LOCKED

Coles has continued its commitment to help Australian household budgets go further, and give customers important price reassurance, by announcing it will drop and lock the price of more than 300 new items across supermarkets and online from 18 January until after the Easter Weekend, 11 April 2023. Coles Chief Executive of Commercial and Express Leah Weckert said the extensive list of popular products will help Aussie households save when entertaining this summer, getting ready for back to school and planning healthy mid-week meals – all the way through the long Easter weekend. Weckert explained The second phase of DROPPED&LOCKED doubles the number of products from its first phase, including brands such as Kellogg’s, Kleenex, L’Oreal, Morning Fresh, Gillette, Uncle Toby’s, Four N Twenty, Arnott’s, Steggles, McCain, Carman’s, Cold Power as well as a collection of Coles’ Own Brand products.

“We understand many Aussie households are feeling the pinch following Christmas and by dropping and locking the price of hundreds of popular and essential items we are honoring our commitment to helping Aussie budgets go further,” Weckert commented “This latest round of DROPPED&LOCKED doubles the number of products compared to the first phase of the campaign and we’re certain this extension will save Aussies millions of dollars over the coming months,”.
Weckert explained that a survey of more than 7,500 Coles customers found 82% are making changes to their grocery shopping to counter the rising cost of living. 1 in 2 are buying more discounts (57%), cooking more at home (51%) and cutting back on treats (55%). Weckert also pointed out In October 2022, Coles dropped and locked prices on 150 household favourite products. Whilst all of these will remain DROPPED&LOCKED until 31 January, some will also be extended at the lower price until 11 April 2023 including Free-range Chicken breast, Beef Sizzle Steak and No Hormone Beef Sandwich Steak.
