Married at First Sight Contestant Tracey Jewel sits down for interview with The Bad Boys Podcast

Tracey Jewel, Married at First Sight 2018 contestant and host of the popular Upself Podcast, an alternative health show, has opened up about her past marriage to accused fraudster Jacob Anthonisz in a tell all interview on The Bad Boys Podcast. Tracey Jewel (Constable) spoke with The Bad Boys host Shayne Brian about her marriage to Jacob Anthonisz, one of the two men accused and charged with the largest fraud in West Australian history in a tell all interview on The Bad Boys Podcast.

Separating 9 years ago, Jewel has admitted that the last two years were during the alleged fraud activities which lasted for more than 11 years according to various news sources. Whilst one of the accused, Paul Whyte, pleaded guilty to 530 counts of public fraud and corruption and has been behind bars for over 2 years, Mr Anthonisz has pleaded innocent and is due to appear in court during July. Ms Jewel has declared that she left the relationship because it was toxic. She was in an emotionally difficult place at the time and she was unaware of her partners alleged fraud activities. When the newspapers reported the alleged fraud, she was shocked to understand that the offences were supposedly occurring without her knowledge. When asked how she was unaware, Jewel replied that “You don’t look for it. It is similar to cheating, yes in hindsight you can piece things together. You justify it to yourself at the time and you don’t look at it any further than that.”

Ms. Jewel has gone on record with the Bad Boys Podcast to state that although her separation occurred during the time of the alleged offence she has advised authorities that she did not benefit from the stolen money and it was not part of her settlement with Mr Anthonisz.
The interview details her experience of gaslighting and narcissism, “for anyone listening, this does damage your mental health because you can’t reason with them like a normal person. They can’t apologise or show empathy.” Tracey continued saying that “the only way to move forward is to remove yourself from the situation. I thought it was me that I couldn’t have a normal relationship but I now find myself in a normal marriage and I realise it is not me.” The Bad Boys Host, Shayne Brian stated that the show is opposed to any form of domestic violence which includes mental abuse. “Don’t think you can go through this alone. Reach out to someone. Don’t just stay in a situation hoping it gets better. This is your life. You have to take control of it.”
