During World War II, five different Chinese people fight their way through Japanese Air Force attacks to protect an important military machine in Chongqing, 1940.

This is another movie that is known by a couple of different titles. Its original title is Da hong zha while alternative English title is Air Strike.

The Bombing is a beautifully shot movie and of course as you would expect with any there were some stunning fight sequences. That’s probably the only positive thing that I can say about this movie. Apparently, the original cut of this movie was around five hours. Being cut down from five hours to around two hours I can’t help but think that some parts of the story that might have ensured coherent storyline where sacrificed for a non-bladder-bursting run-time. You should know that the Chinese language was dubbed into English. That isn’t a big deal though I did find it odd that even Bruce Willis one of the few actors cast in the movie who spoke had a few moments when it seemed that he was dubbed into English.
