A bank manager haunted by a violent heist that took the life of a coworker teams up with his ex-cop neighbor to bring down the assailant, initiating an explosive counterattack that brings all three men to the breaking point.

Seeing as I don’t remember every seeing any previews for this at the friendly neighborhood cinema or any DVDs I suppose we can chalk the decision to watch this as being spur of the moment. I’ve previously come across director Brian A. Miller’s work before and wasn’t that impressed by it and nothing has really changed. As a heist movie it was kind of slow paced, though technically it could be considered more of a reverse heist movie considering that the criminal was not the main character and the overall pace of the movie was significantly slower than you would expect for a movie like this, and it really did need to hit that faster gear especially in the third act.
Frank Grillo is a solid choice for the direct to DVD action movies that I seem to see him on a fairly regular basis. I’m yet to come across a movie starring Grillo that could be considered a hit, but time will tell. I was slightly disappointed by Johnathon Schaech’s performance there was a level creepiness to his character that Schaech just didn’t achieve.
