Rampage

Rated M
Score 3/6

When three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, a primatologist and a geneticist team up to stop them from destroying Chicago.

I did not catch this one when it had its run at the cinema though for the record when I was younger and prettier I do have memories of playing the computer game which the movie is based on. For those of you who might be interested the original game was released back in 1986 and spawned five sequels and of course there is a 6th rampage game that has been released that is based on the recent movie release.

To the best of my memory there wasn’t that much of a plot to the 1986 game apart from the destruction of American towns it has a slightly better link to its source material then something like Peter Berg’s 2012 movie Battleship. Though this is a nice enough movie to watch, I really don’t see myself watching this again anytime soon. Now it should be noted that Rampage seems to lose some of its impact on a small screen and should watched on a larger screen if possible.
Dwayne Johnson pretty much gave the performance that you’d expect him to give. However, I did love the sign language banter between Dwayne Johnson’s character and Gorge the Gorilla.
