When a nice old man who claims to be Santa Claus is institutionalized as insane, a young lawyer decides to defend him by arguing in court that he is the real thing.

Okay, time for Christmas movie number 2. I might squeeze in another Christmas movies this year depending on how things go.

I suppose with the fat man in the red suit making his yearly delivery of toys to all the good boys of the world this is the most logical movie for me to review. I suppose that this version of Miracle on 34th Street might be a little hokey but I would not say that ever ran the risk of being considered as being too sugary sweet because it deals with some important things. The importance of a child’s imagination and that it’s okay to believe in Santa Clause. No matter how firm your belief in him might be. Both Edmund Gwenn and Natalie Wood gave brilliant performances (Wood was only 9 years old at the time) and certainly where the heart of the movie.

I think I might have to revisit this next year.
