When a madman kidnaps a young boy and rigs him with explosives, Ray defies his captain and takes matter into his own hands. Now he must beat the clock and save the innocent child.

I suppose that the only thing that is going for this movie is that Countdown is the first WWE studios movie to shoot and include live event footage.
I’ll admit it John Stockwell has directed one, maybe two movies that I actually. Countdown is not one of them. Countdown could have used a better director then Stockwell. Especially considering that he was in the directing chair for the 2012 telemovie Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden (which I like to refer as the lesser of the films about the killing of Bin Laden).
Stockwell seems almost incapable of directing a decent action movie. Countdown even failed to be a by the numbers action movie because then there probably would have been better character development. Movies released by WWE Studios are a guilty pleasure of mine, I try to vow to not to watch any more of their movies again butt to me I suppose most movies released by WWE studios are the cinematic equivalent of carbohydrates, I know I should cut them out of my life but I just can’t help myself.
