Coburg Drive in Food Truck Festival to screen Banjo

banjoThis September (Held on 23 September), the Coburg Drive-In will celebrate an all new evening of Indian Cinema, with a special opening-night screening of the Bollywood film Banjo.
“We’re committed to offering diverse and authentic experiences to all our customer segments and we’re truly committed to supporting Indian Films in Australia.” Village Cinemas’ General Manager of Marketing, Mohit Bhargava commented.
The first event of the VIndian Film Series, presented by Westbrook, brings you the musical drama. It follows the story of a banjo-playing street performer (Riteish Deshmukh) as he searches for fame, fortune and success. In the process, he forms an unusual friendship with a beautiful American DJ (Nargis Fakhri).
“Our master planned Westbrook estate is all about creating new communities, so we are excited to be involved with cultural-based initiatives that promote bringing people together,” Ruth Ritchie, Victorian Sales & Marketing Manager of the Dennis Family Corporation commented “Cinema is a form of entertainment which family members of all ages can enjoy and the Bollywood films are hugely popular within the local community.”

Sapphire Dance

Sapphire dance troupe will create a spectacle of colour and movement with their award-winning performance. Once the dancers have showcased their talent there will also be some time to try your hand at Bollywood dance with a 20 minute dance workshop. Guests will also be able to get glammed with a henna tattoo artist on site. With an array of colourful and glitzy designs to choose from, you will feel like a Bollywood star. A range of gourmet Indian food trucks will be available to satisfy any cravings. With offerings from Two Fat Indians, Yo India, Babu Ji Express, Delhi on Wheels.
