Three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, he and the remaining Kings of Tampa hit the road to Myrtle Beach to put on one last blow-out performance.

I suppose it was a combination of boredom and the fact that I had seen the original movie that brought me to watch Magic Mike XXL. It should also be noted that you don’t have to have seen the previous movie to understand what is going what is going in this movie, because well it’s not that deep. This might be the shortest review that I have written for awhile this is an entirely watchable movie (I found myself reminded of Blues Brothers 2000, Sex and the City and Entourage). It should also be noted XXL that has enough laughs to keep you going through the movie though maybe it blew its wad a little with the preview, but then again that’s almost to be expected with every movie that has been released since about 2000. I wasn’t overly familiar with Gregory Jacobs as a director but considering this is only the third movie he has directed that really doesn’t surprise me. However, I kind of liked what seemed to be a subtle nod by Jacobs to the Ocean’s Trilogy at the end of the movie.
