Marngrook Footy Show Receives First Logie Nomination

Victorian Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Natalie Hutchins, has congratulated the Marngrook Footy Show on its 2015 Logie nomination. The Marngrrook Footy show was nominated under the Most Popular Sports Program category; this is the first Logie nomination for the Marngrook Footy Show.
Ms Hutchins said the nomination reflected the show’s fresh approach and insightful perspective on the Australian Football League (AFL).
“I’d like to congratulate the hosts, crew and all involved in making the fantastic Marngrook Footy Show happen.” Ms Hutchins commented.
Ms Hutchins explained that Marngrook features news, game previews, interviews and live music performances, with an emphasis on the stories of past and present Aboriginal players. “The Marngrook Footy Show highlights the achievements of Aboriginal players, and provides a fresh take on footy news in general. It is very deserving of this nomination.” Ms Hutchins said.
