A man searches the world for a set of mystic artifacts – 12 bronze heads of the animals from the Chinese zodiac.

The past few movies that I have watched though not necessarily have reviewed starring Jackie Chan were not as good as the movies of his that I watched when I was younger which made me appreciate his movies. Chinese Zodiac reminds me of the movies that I watched when I was younger so much so that the way that the dialogue was recorded immediately reminded me of his 1996 movie Jackie Chan’s First Strike or Ging chaat goo si 4: Ji gaan daan yam mo.
Maybe I’ll have to make time for a second viewing of this one but I couldn’t help but think that the story was not quite there especially with the final third of the movie which seemed that it was thrown together at the last minute. But issues with the plot was not enough to get in the way of the enjoyment of watching the movie because Jackie Chan has certain creative genius when it comes to his action sequences.

It should be noted that Jackie Chan set a Guinness World Record in the film for “Most Credits in One Movie”. Chan carried out 15 of the major creative movie-making roles for Chinese Zodiac.
