Infiltrators

Director Michael Stokes
Starring Jonny Cruz, Nathalie Kelley, Hallee Hirsh
Rated MA
Score 3.5/6

An ‘urban explorer’ is blackmailed into infiltrating a derelict building on the eve of its demolition in the hope he can recover a forgotten treasure.

This one as far as I can tell did not have a run in any of the local cinemas, at least in Australia. If you hire this one from your friendly neighbourhood DVD store looking for unique and intense action sequences you’re probably going to be disappointed. But don’t let that deter you from hiring this one, it’s still worth a look. This was writer/director Michael Stokes’ second movie in the director’s chair. Stokes delivered something that has the potential to grow. I got the impression that with the ending that they were trying to leave things open for possible sequels in a similar fashion to the Jack Hunter Mini-series from 2008 – 2009.
I am not overly familiar with any of the actors cast in this, though after having a chance to look through some of their filmographies I am pretty sure that I must have come across them before at least once or twice. I was sort of impressed with Jonny Cruz he seemed to have that strong silent good boy type of thing going for his performance in a similar way Aaron Paul did in Need for Speed.
