A small group of everyday passengers on a speeding London commuter train battle their warped driver who has a dark plan for everyone on-board.

Sometimes it is really great when a filmmaker makes a movie that seems to re-invigorates a plot point like the ‘runaway vehicle’ that has been so played out that the last decent ‘runaway vehicle’ movie (was not sixteen years ago as i first had posted because speed was not a ‘runaway vehicle’ movie in its purest sense, like posted earlier considering there was a bomb on the bus and the brakes one the bus probably still did work) with that being said the last decent ‘runaway vehicle’ movie would be Unstoppable staring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. However, I still believe the ‘runaway vehicle’ movie is a little played out.
I’m not overly familiar with director Omid Nooshin’s work considering that this is his first feature film, I loved the fact that Nooshin used older carriages to create a unique and suspenseful look. I’m interested to Nooshin’s future movies and if I was given the opportunity I probably would check out the shorts that he has done.
I don’t usually watch a lot of movies with Dougray Scott in them and I don’t think that I have seen him cast as a leading man prior to Last Passenger. He might not have that typical leading man look but I really would like to see him cast as a lead in more of his roles.
