In the lead-up to the Royal Christening of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, the first born son of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Royal Australian Mint has further extended its congratulations with a collectable coin celebrating the arrival of the third-in-line to the British throne.
“The arrival of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge is an important moment in history. We’ve seen many Australians happy to celebrate the birth of Prince George,” said Bernie Ripoll MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer
“This coin is part of the Royal Australian Mint’s Royal Collection – a very popular collection amongst the royal followers,” said Mr. Mark Cartwright, Acting Marketing Director of the Royal Australian Mint.
Mr. Cartwright explained that the coin features a family tree with the initials ‘W’ and ‘C’ above ‘HRH Prince George Born 22.07.2013’, and was designed by the Royal Australian Mint after extensive consultation with Buckingham Palace.
