Set in the year 2154, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.

Ok, this is review is a little overdue but I also had to make time to watch District 9 (go ahead and add to the list of movies I failed to catch at the cinema) which was also directed by Neill Blomkamp, and a review for District 9 will be posted soon after this on is posted.
Personally I find that some of the more interesting science fiction movies deal with how humanity evolves and poses questions like, how will everybody in the future live there life day? On a side note I hope that none of the major Australian political parties have received any inspiration as to how to deal with immigration.
There was a nice contrast between the everyday lives between the two social classes and the need to protect the social divide essentially serves as the catalyst for two thirds of the movie.
Though Elysium had an amazing cast with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster but sometimes some of the best performances I have seen in movies have been given by young children, and that was the case with young Emma Tremblay who did not have that many lines during the movie, but in one scene managed to bring a tear to my showing the kindness of a child and bring a tear to my eye.
