John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.

It was great to see the release of the fifth film in the Die Hard franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard. All of the good feelings that I have for the franchise came back when I heard Beethoven’s iconic Ode to Joy during the opening credits. It was also great to the casting of Australian actor Jai Courtney as Jack McClane.
Considering that this is the shortest of the five movies in the franchise with a running time of 97 minutes, A Good Day to Die Hard was not given the best opportunity to live up to the legacy of the franchise, this made it come across as the ‘softest’ of the five movies
