The leader of a drug cartel busts out of a courthouse and speeds to the Mexican border, where the only thing in his path is a sheriff and his inexperienced staff.

Arnold is back in his first feature film role since Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines back in 2003, it seems that at 65 The Governator still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is not quite ready for the Action Star Retirement Home, just yet. It should also be noted that this the first American production for Director Jee-woon Kim. I was a bit surprised to see Forest Whitaker in this one while it seemed that Johnny Knoxville was just playing himself. The plot for The Last Stand really is not that spectacular, but then again nobody goes to one of Arnie’s movies expecting an allegory for the greater understanding of the universe. You want action and lots of it. The Last Stand does not disappoint.
