After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.

Okay, finally this film franchise has been put to bed. With any luck we won’t have to worry about any spin off series popping up any time soon. The plot of the second movie was for all intents and purposes was very watchable, I actually found myself caring about the fate of Bella and Edward’s daughter Renesmee. Though I believe that the name Renesmee is a textbook example of why teenage girls should not allowed to name small children. No matter how pure their reasoning might be.
I understand the reasoning behind this fad of splitting a movie with one linear plot into two different movies, but it really has to stop. I mean if an intermission was good enough for the iconic movie from 1962 Lawrence of Arabia then it’s good enough for a fucking vampire movie like the Twilight movies.
Director Bill Condon did a fair enough job in the director’s chair for this ‘movie’ though things did get a little artsy for a vampire movie. Though the final act of the movie did have a good twist what could be argued as an homage to Peter Jackson’s The Return of the King came across as being a little too much.
