To the start of the festive season, which as we all know seems to start earlier every year Australia Post has released this year’s Christmas stamps featuring symbols of popular Christmas carols and the traditional nativity scene.
“Even with new digital forms of communications, Australians still enjoy sending their Christmas greetings through the post,” Australia Post General Manager, Merchandise Services, Rowan Howarth commented.
Mr. Howarth explained that Australia Post has been celebrating Christmas on our stamps since 1957 and that as a country Australia was the first country in the world to issue Christmas stamps regularly on an annual basis.
