Operation Dumbo drop is inspired by a true story, about US army soldiers during the Vietnam War promise to find a replacement elephant for a village’s sacred elephant that was killed by the North Vietnamese Army within a week. What transpired was a mad cap dash by road, water and air across Vietnam.

This is a laugh out loud feel good movie for all of the family. Doug E. Doug gave a great performance in the role of a stereotypical paranoid soldier with only one week left in Vietnam . There are lots of gags that will keep young children amused while the soundtrack might bring back a few teenage memories for mum and dad.
