Children of men

Directed by Alfonso Cuaron
Staring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore & Michael Caine
Rating MA
Score 6/6

20 years into the future the world has no hope, women are infertile. A former activist agrees to help transport a miraculously pregnant woman to meet a boat which will take her to scientists that may be able to help humankind.

A terrifying look into the not distant future. However, despite their efforts the writers failed to sufficiently explain the fate of the entire fate of the world. In comparison this global future is more terrifying then the one set out in V for Vendetta.
Clive Owen had a decent enough presence throughout the movie while Michael Caine was delight in his part as an aging hippy. No matter what you think of the story, i think there is a message in this movie and perhaps it is that no matter how bleak things may seem, anything can be overcome so long as we have a little bit of hope. But our biggest mistake is that at times due to the human condition we are to stupid, to know when to stand back and say stop.
