The IMF is shut down when it is implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization’s name.

It is clear to see that with Ghost Protocol, the bar was raised for the Mission Impossible franchise and it is going to be particularly interesting to see which way things are taken in the future particularly if there are any more sequels. It was good to see that with the opening title sequence, Ghost Protocol appeared to be indirectly paying homage to the franchise’s television series roots.
Ghost Protocol gives you pretty much everything that you would expect from the franchise including the obligatory ‘Spy Movie’ pre-opening sequence action sequence. It was good to see that Ving Rhames reprised his role as Luther Stickel, though I was a little disappointed to see that Luther did not have more significant role within the movie.
Director Brad Bird, who is in his live action directorial debut, really brought us something visually spectacular, which at times almost seemed to postcard perfect at times. I was intrigued by the sequence within the Kremlin.
