Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.

Right off the bat I am going to say it, people who had a major problem with the visual look of the 2006 movie 300 probably are not going to like this one. Immortals is a brilliantly casted sword and sandals flick. Mickey Rourke with his distinctive voice and dominating screen presence made the perfect choice. While I think I am going to have to pay more attention to movies starring Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto who both gave interesting performances.
Immortals raises about the issue of religion and the idea of faith, in that it is not something that can be forced down our throats by somebody else (no matter how hard we may try to) but it is more something that we have to arrive to by ourselves.
One of the more interesting aspects about the visual style of Immortals was that it seemed depart from the more “traditional” flowing robes look for the Greek Gods to something that could be considered to be slightly surrealistic.
