Star racecar Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

Pixar movies will always be a guilty pleasure of mine especially the shorts that they release with all of the features. It seems that their habit of releasing a short movie with each of their feature titles Pixar has succeeded in exposing us the type of movie watching experience that our parents had when they where children. I am sure all of you have heard the stories of your parents trip to the Saturday matinee where there would be cartoons before the main attraction. In a way Pixar really is redefining the whole idea of “family cinema”.
Cars 2 is brilliant both Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy are back as McQueen and Mater. Some of the adults out there might find that the plot is a little clichéd because it is all about the importance friendship and having the courage to be yourself. Nevertheless, do not worry Cars 2 is infused with the spirit of a ‘Bond Movie’ that should be enough to keep any adult entertained.
