I know I usually score things out of six so I suppose in most cases when I make a list I should have a top six list. But with one of the Shakespearean speeches that I constantly come back to, The Henry V St Crispin’s Day Speech. Here is my top three individuals who gave the best interpretation of the speech. And yes I realise I should have posted this on October 25.
- Sir Kenneth Branagh – Henry V (1989 Directed by Kenneth Branagh) – The First interpretation of the speech I saw.
- Lladel Bryant – Chicken Shop Shakespeare – Bryant brings a quality I readily associate with Prince Hal in Henry IV.
- “Jocko” Willink – American author, podcaster, and retired United States Navy SEAL – Probably the best interpretation of the speech by a “Non-Actor”.
And though I haven’t seen Tom Huddleston’s interpretation of the St Crispin’s Day Speech but his “once more on to the breech” needs to be mentioned.
