The Sunshine Coast’s first dedicated beachside country and western saloon has officially opened with patrons set to enjoy live music from two stages, regular line dancing, country style food and a mechanical bucking bull seven days a week. Ocean Street-based Coyote’s Roadhouse is the inspiration of Hallmark Hospitality who have owned and operated a number of venues across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and opened Foxy Malone’s Irish Pub in Mooloolaba earlier this year. Hallmark Hospitality director Cade Hopman said patrons will be blown away with the extent of the theming and detail to ensure Coyote’s Roadhouse looks and feels like a true full-blown, live music country and western saloon bar.

“The venue is completely unrecognisable from its previous incarnation, we’ve worked with award winning Gold Coast-based Space Cubed Design Studio to create a saloon bar which will be iconic for the coast and we believe it will attract locals and tourists from across the region and beyond.” Hopman commented “From the moment you walk in we have an installation of 50 Ariat boots hanging from the ceiling and heaps of country themed artwork including a range of taxidermy mounts which are commonplace across North American dive bars. There’s also a dedicated Games Hall which will house the venue’s signature mechanical bull alongside country-themed pinball machinesand the old pub classic, ‘Ring the Bull’. We wanted to create a space which was authentic and welcoming to anyone of any age, particularly those who love live music and warm, unpretentious outback hospitality. Whether you are a coastal cowboy or a city slicker, we will have country and western entertainment in spades, along with country-inspired drinks and a smokehouse-themed menu to round out the offering.”.
