As Abraham Lincoln labors over the Gettysburg Address, the importance of which he is fully aware, he learns that a menace from his past has returned, threatening to tear the already fractured nation to pieces. He must journey behind enemy lines to face an foe far more fearsome than the Confederate army: the walking dead.

Movies by The Asylum always seem to creep up on me. The Asylum will always be my favorite movie studio to hate. Now, the question that needs to be answered is: Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies as good as The Battle for Castle Itter? No. Far from it. Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies is a mockbuster of the 2012 movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies is very much what you would expect from a movie from The Asylum. The kind of movie that you would appreciate more while drinking with friends, because you’d either be willing to forgive the disappointing special effects or mock them mercilessly. Though gore effects for a zombie movie don’t need to be over the top, there is, however, a minimum baseline. A baseline the movie failed to clear. I will give the movie credit that there were some good lines throughout the movie (mostly Lincoln’s), but it wasn’t enough to save the movie.
