Woolworths expands Lower Shelf Price

Woolworths is adding a further 105 products to Lower Shelf Price this week, expanding the range to more than 1,000 everyday products, giving customers dependable, low prices on the items they buy most. Unlike temporary promotions, Lower Shelf Price offers longer-term reductions on standard shelf prices. The prices of products on Lower Shelf Price are on average 16.4% lower than their previous standard shelf price. For example, on a $150 Lower Shelf Price shop, this would be a reduction of more than $20 compared to the previous standard shelf prices.* Since launching Lower Shelf Price in May 2025 with 400 products, Woolworths has continued its multi-million dollar investment with this latest range of products.

“We know Australian families are looking for dependable, low prices they can count on every week. That’s why we’ve grown Lower Shelf Prices to more than 1,000 everyday products.” Woolworths Group CEO, Amanda Bardwell, commented. “We’ve added core items like mince, chicken and eggs because these are what families rely on for their weekly shop. Lower Shelf Price is giving customers lower prices for longer, and we’ve seen more and more people adding these products to their trolley to spend less on everyday household essentials. We are committed to continuing to provide meaningful value to families on the products that are most important in their weekly shop.”
