Immortal Amanda is living as a thief again. Pursued by cops, she finds herself framed for robberies and murders she did not commit.

For those of you who have no clue about Highlander: The Raven, the series aired in 1998 and ran for 1 season. The Raven was spun off from Highlander: The Series, which aired from 1992 until 1998, and was spun off from the cult classic 1986 film starring Christopher Lambert. I have memories of watching both series, and both series are excellent examples of bad 90’s action series. The problem with these series is that when they fall into the ‘villain of the week’ trope, they risk going stale as the series progresses. Even though The Raven was a ‘villain of the week’ show, it didn’t go stale ONLY because the show lasted for one season. The plot of the first episode was decent enough. Elizabeth Gracen gave a decent enough performance as Amanda. Still, I’m not sure if the character was the right choice to be given their own series, especially opposite a character like the former police Detective Nick Wolfe, portrayed by Paul Johansson. In the Highlander series, for 5 of the 6 seasons, the character of Amanda was either a guest or a recurring character who had “fun aunt” or “bratty little sister” vibes, and I’m not sure if the character ever stepped out of that during The Raven.
