Tom Hanks and team led the way once again this weekend at the national box office where Toy Story 5 came in number one for the third week in a row bringing in $6.02M, which takes its overall total to $27.9M. At number two again this weekend, was Minions & Monsters which brought home $3.94M and has now garnered $9.87M. The new Jackass: Best and Last release debuted at number three where it earned $1.29M, while Supergirl landed in fourth place with $1.13M which brings its total thus far to $4.41M. Rounding out the top five was popular thriller Obsession which earned $1.08M during its eighth week, and brings its overall total to an impressive $22.7M. The top 10 movies together contributed to 90% of the total national gross box office for the weekend. Animation was the top genre of the weekend as the school holidays came into full swing across most of the states.
Top 10 Movies
- Toy Story 5 spent its third consecutive week in the top spot. The movie brought in $6.02M this weekend, bringing its total box office to $27.9M.
- Minions & Monsters also held its number two position for a second week, bringing home $3.94M. The movie has now garnered $9.87M at the box office.
- Jackass: Best and Last debuted at number three during its opening weekend, earning $1.29M.
- Supergirl landed in fourth place with $1.13M which brings its total to $4.41M.
- Obsession continued to take hold in the top five, earning $1.08M – where it came in fifth place during its eighth weekend. It’s overall total at the box office is now an impressive $22.7M.
- Disclosure Day gained another $572k and came in at number six. This brings the movie’s total box office to $9.22M.
- Backrooms found itself in seventh place with $368k during its sixth weekend. This movie has now earned $14.5M at the box office.
- The Chinese title, Dear You, brought home $360k, landing at number eight which brings the movie’s cumulative box office to $1.49M.
- Michael continued to entertain in the top 10 for its eleventh weekend where it earned $225k, and placed at number nine. The movie has now brought home a smooth $46M at the box office.
- Rounding out the top 10 was the Hindi title, Alpha with $216k on its opening weekend.

- Dhamaal 4: The Dhamaal boys are back and ready to chase the ‘Treasure of Life’, facing crazy challenges along the way. Available at select locations from July 10.
