BIGONE Inc. has officially launched a Kickstarter campaign introducing “Maison de Castle,” the world’s first project to release 250 figure-animation video shots as royalty-free footage for AI video creators worldwide. The initiative, blending Japan’s analog figure artistry with the fast-evolving world of AI video generation, aims to give creators unprecedented access to high-quality motion assets—completely free for non-commercial use. “In an age where AI art is defined by copyright restrictions and corporate walls, we chose not to protect our art—but to release it,” says the project team at BIGONE Inc. “This is about rethinking authorship and rediscovering the joy of creation itself.”
Each set includes 50 shots per character (five total characters), with various camera angles, lighting setups, and emotional expressions tailored for AI video training or creative remixes. Creators are free to use, edit, and publish their AI-generated works based on this footage for non-commercial purposes, while commercial licensing remains available through separate agreements. The campaign is structured as an All-or-Nothing project with a goal of ¥1,000,000 (approx. USD 6,600) to be reached by November 24, 2025 (JST). Supporters will receive:
- Early access to the 250-shot AI-usable video pack (royalty-free)
- Exclusive access to Episode 8 (4K remaster) of Maison de Castle
