St Kilda Festival 2018 New Music Stage Announced

The New Music Stage provides some of Australia’s hottest new talent with an exciting platform at Australia’s largest free music festival to showcase their music, with the aim to support emerging talent and the growth of the Australian music industry. Ten emerging acts have been selected to play the New Music Stage on Sunday 11 February. The crowd favourite will be taking home $5,000 and an invitation to play the St Kilda Festival Main Stage in 2019. Voting opens on Sunday 11 February and closes the following Friday 16 February. Voting will be online via the St Kilda Festival website.

City of Port Phillip Mayor, Cr Bernadene Voss, is delighted the St Kilda Festival is able to provide such an important program for national artist discovery.

The New Music Stage has hosted some of Australia’s hottest talent in the early stages of their careers including Client Liaison, Missy Higgins, Husky and Stonefield. The full St Kilda Festival line up and program will be released in January.
