To any of the fanboys or girls out there who might disagree with my review you can send me an email, and perhaps even send me your own movie review.

As you have probably already know I’m not overly familiar with marvel comics so I’m not going to bother talking about how faithful an adaption this was to the comic book source material because I really don’t know. And before I get too far into this the first thing that might resemble a spoiler is that I am going to say that the end there are two extra bonus scenes spaced apart.

I’m not overly familiar with director Scott Derrickson’s work, though I have come across his work in the past. With Derrickson it is good to see somebody in the director’s chair of an MCU movie that has more directed more than five movies, though looking at his filmography I think that an MCU movie would not be directly in his directing wheelhouse. That being said Derrickson seem to blend visual elements of Inception, M.C. Escher’s artwork and what came across as the subatomic realm that was featured in the Ant-Man movie. It was also good to see that the multi-verse was mentioned.
Actually, the third actor to play a live action Doctor Strange Benedict Cumberbatch was a great casting choice and he is the caliber of actor where the future of the character is going to be extremely interesting.
It’s good to see that sometimes that the controversy surrounding casting gets to be proven to be unjustified with the non-Tibetan Tilda Swinton who was cast as The Ancient One. Swinton brought the right level of ‘mysterious mystical mentor’ to the role.
Given the reaction to Parallax in Green Lantern which was released in 2011 I’m kind of curious to see how Dormammu is going to play out with the fanboys.
