RACV Energy Breakthrough Weekend

Primary and Secondary School from across Victoria are descending on Maryborough for the RACV Energy Breakthrough, Victoria’s largest student showcase of energy efficient vehicles and fuel saving technologies. Holden’s Director of Corporate Affairs, George Svigos explained that the RACV Energy Breakthrough challenges students to design and build a vehicle or machine that represents an ‘energy breakthrough’, and representatives from Holden were once again on hand to support as part of the RACV Energy Breakthrough Holden Mentoring Program, Mr Svigos added that leading up to this year’s event, 18 mentors from across the Holden business have teamed up with local primary schools to offer support in the areas of design and construction as well as display and presentations.
“We want to get students thinking of ways to use alternative technologies and alternative fuels to develop future-friendly vehicles,” said Mr Svigos “Holden has supported this event for over 20 years, and we see this as a real opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise to help educate young students, build their vehicles and learn about alternative technology.”
